Our neighborhood hosts an annual Easter egg hunt and breakfast each year, where we all bring a breakfast dish to share and pre-filled plastic eggs for the kids to find.
Last year, Sarah really didn’t get the whole Easter egg hunting thing. This year, she had fun looking for eggs once I showed her what to look for.
It probably helps that it was about 30 degrees warmer than last year (and that is surprising in an of itself considering that we just barely hit 90 last week), but Sarah was much happier and less clingy to me and had fun, I dare say, which was the whole point of going. She was very happy to smile for the camera.
And here’s the boy and his haul. He didn’t need any instruction whatsoever. Timothy was so fast at finding his 12 eggs that we barely got any pictures of him during the actual hunt.
Of course, the best part about an Easter egg hunt is eating all the chocolate. At least, that’s what my kids say.
Looks like a fun tradition and a fun time.
ReplyDeleteWhat big smiles. It would seem Timothy and Sarah are enjoying the neighborhood tradition.
