For Timothy’s science project this year, he got permission to do a science process (rather than an experiment). He followed the science process rules and developed and wrote his own program, ScienceNote. It is a text editing program with accounts and a built-in HTML window to test your pages.
My 11-year-old has written a program, in Python, from scratch. Color me impressed.
And I’m not the only one who was impressed. He was one of the winners of his school science fair and will now move on to the district level. The judging is on Wednesday. I now officially know what it is like to have a kid who is smarter than you.
