One of the very cute things Sarah did with her kindergarten class were the Kindergarten Plays. Apparently it is a tradition at her elementary school, and it is fun to watch. This year the kindergarten classes put on six short plays. Sarah was in “The Rainbow Fish.”
She had two lines, which she delivered with sufficient loudness. (They don’t mic the kindergartners; they just teach them to yell their parts. It is an epic combination of cuteness.) Her lines were, “Yes, come and play!” and at the end, “Thanks for sharing, Rainbow Fish!” (Toward the end, when we were helping her practice her lines, she would get exasperated with us for randomly shouting out, “Thanks for sharing, Rainbow Fish!” We are all punks like that.)
This is the song they all sang before the plays. I totally didn’t even think to record it. I’m kind of sad about that now because Sarah sang the whole song. It was fun to see her sing along because she often is too shy in Primary.
Here she is, being a proper fish and swimming in the sea.
And taking her final bow.
We love our little fish.

What a great time for the family and then shared with the "gang"
