Well, I now officially have two of my little people (although it is hard to call Timothy really “little” these days as he comes up to my shoulder) in school for a full day.
Sarah is my happy little first-grader, who is very happy to go back to school. She said her first day was great. Her favorite part was playing games with her class and recess outside. (She is even in the same class as her best friend from kindergarten, which is great that she already has a friend.) She also knows several of her classmates as they were also in her class last year. She likes being in Miss Mills’ class.
And then there is this boy ...
... who is now in junior high, entering as a seventh grader. He says that junior high was fun; he likes all of his classes so far (his band teacher and his math teacher get more mention than others; we’ll see if it continues that way). Timothy loves school as well, so it’s hard to be sad for them when they go back because I know they enjoy it so much.
But Timothy cracks me up. He sent me this picture after arriving home from school today, along with this message.
Ha!
Well, now that we’ve successfully done it once, now we only have to repeat it for the next 10 months or so. Let more learning commence!

Timothy does have a sense of humor. Glad they enjoyed their first day of school.
